Opossums are marsupials. That means they carry their young in a pouch. After they are 67 days old, they can leave the pouch for the first time. Opossums are usually 15-20 inches in length, and weigh 4-12 pounds. Opossums have 50 teeth more than other mammals. Opossums are omnivores which means they eat plants and animals. A group of opossums is called a passel. Opossums live up to two years in the wild, but in captivity they can live up to 4 years old. A litter of opossums consists of about 20 babes, but only a few survive. Males produce a sound to attract females. They also have a prehensile tail!
Wow, Anson, so much for me to learn about God’s creation. Keep it up!

Opossums are usually ugly, but those three guys are seriously cute!
Have you heard of a pangolin? If not, you have to look it up. It is one of my all-time favorite creatures! (Also you might want to look up goblin sharks if you haven’t heard of them. They’re super creepy!)
